This weekend the Delray Beach Bacon & Bourbon Festival shined a light on our most flavorful food, bacon, and the quintessential American liquor, Bourbon. Guests sampled and learned about more than 40 bourbons — including some of the rarest and hardest-to-find in the world. And, of course, bacon.

The Delray Beach Bacon & Bourbon Fest is back March 18 to 19, and this year it really is better than before.
Remember last year when the inaugural edition — which saw nearly 8,000 attendees during the course of the two-day event — received hundreds of complaints for long lines and food shortages? Well, don’t expect the same experience this time around, says Festival Management President Nancy Stewart-Franczak.
“This year we’ve made a number of major enhancements, changes that will make the overall experience much better,” says Stewart-Franczak. “Primary among them, we now have the ability to make more food as the need arises, have added several new bars, and we’ve also opened the event earlier — all to address last year’s prime concerns.”
That means the Delray Beach Bacon & Bourbon Fest will have more of the two things everyone loves: booze and bacon.

Few other foods generate more passion than bacon. That passion is at the heart of the Delray Beach Bacon and Bourbon Fest, where the love of bacon meets the most popular of American liquors, bourbon.
The Delray Beach Bacon and Bourbon Fest returns for a second year, with an expanded menu of bacon and pork related dishes. From sandwiches to ice cream the bacon and bourbon lover will find something to suit their palate. Along with with the bacon visitors will find a great selection of bourbon and whiskeys.

The event is designed for you to enjoy a relaxing day of sipping fine bourbons and cocktails and tasting the eclectic menu of bacon and bourbon inspired cuisine.
The two day event features four course Bacon & Bourbon dinners each night and our famous Bourbon & Bacon Brunch, great live music, an eclectic menu of bacon infused culinary delights and a collection of over 40 bourbons and whiskeys for your tasting pleasure. The Fest also offers participants extensive bacon and bourbon pairing seminars including an exclusive Pappy Van Winkle tasting. The distiller’s art and patient techniques are shared in the seminars and tastings by South Florida’s foremost Bourbon experts. All intended to enhance your knowledge and pleasure of American made Bourbon and whiskey. And, we will throw an Irish whiskey or rye into the mix for historical purposes. For those of you who we can not convince to partake in Bourbon, we will have a few fine wines and Heineken Light too.
Delray Beach Bacon & Bourbon Fest: Florida’s Premier Bourbon Event
With average temperatures around 80°F during March, there are few better warm weather winter destinations than Delray Beach, Florida. The city has a rich and storied history that dates back to its founding by U.S. Congressman William S. Linton in 1894. He originally named the town Linton after himself, but that was short lived because in 1898 he left town. The U.S. Post Office renamed the town Delray and it hasn’t looked back. Now Delray Beach is home to over 65,000 people and is part of the Miami Metropolitan Area.
